It’s been contrasting fortunes for these teams so far this season. The Swans managed to beat the drop last term and look set for another struggle in 2017/18. Meanwhile, the Red Devils have impressed to emerge as genuine contenders for the Premier League title but need to bounce back from a shock defeat to Huddersfield Town last time out.
Swansea Team News
Paul Clement can welcome back Leroy Fer to the side after suspension. Ki Sung-yeung and Renato Sanches are also fit again after injuries, giving the Swans plenty of options in midfield. Luciano Narsingh could be replaced by Nathan Dyer on the right side of attack while Angel Rangel and Mike van der Hoorn will hope to get some first team action in defence.
Man Utd Team News
With the Premier League the main priority, it’s likely that we could see some changes for the visitors. Summer signing Victor Lindelof is expected to start alongside Chris Smalling at centre-back. Matteo Darmian should get the nod ahead of Antonio Valencia at right-back and Michael Carrick could shake off a knock to feature in midfield. Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford are tipped to feature with the latter potentially replacing Romelu Lukaku up-front, if Jose Mourinho decides to rest the Belgian hitman.

Swansea City v Man Utd Predictions
Swansea City have already suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Manchester United this season. Having played reasonably well, they capitulated late on to go down 0-4 and will be hoping to show some more resistance here. They come into the match on the back of a fourth home defeat of the campaign, losing 1-2 to Leicester City.
Manchester United are largely getting it right at both ends of the pitch which is an ominous sign for the hosts. Not only are they scoring for fun but it’s been incredibly difficult to break through their defence and then there’s world class keeper David De Gea to get past. One glimmer of hope for Swansea is that Huddersfield managed to beat the odds on Saturday but Jose Mourinho is unlikely to make the same mistake twice.
Even with the expected changes, it’s difficult to make a case for Swansea winning this. Man Utd’s fringe players will be keen to stake a claim for regular first team action and will be eager to put in a solid display. Correct Score punters will get great value on a 3-1 victory for the visitors.
