Southampton v Everton matched betting tips for the Premier League match at St Mary’s on Sunday 26th November. Read the match preview and predictions for Southampton v Everton matched betting tips.
It has not been a great start to the season for either of these two sides. Southampton sit in 14th place and pressure is already starting to build on manager Mauricio Pellegrino even though he only took over in the summer. Their main issue has been scoring goals, which was a problem for them last season too. Everton are down in 16th, with David Unsworth in caretaker charge. After spending a lot in the summer, they need to pick up points quickly.
Southampton Team News
Saints will hope that midfielder Mario Lemina will return to the side after his ankle injury. Oriol Romeu will miss the game however, as he picked up his fifth booking of the season in the defeat to Liverpool. Apart from this, Southampton pretty much have a clean bill of health.
Everton Team News
Yannick Bolasie is back in training for the first time in a year having been out with a serious knee injury. This game will come way too early for him though, so he will continue to watch from the sidelines. Other notable absentees for this game include Seamus Coleman, Ross Barkley, Ramiro Funes Mori and James McCarthy. Tom Davies will sit the game out through suspension after picking up 5 yellow cards in the Premier League.

Southampton v Everton Predictions
Southampton come into this game in a bad run of form, having suffered two consecutive defeats in the Premier League. The latest of those came against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, as the Saints were brushed aside in a 3-0 triumph for Jurgen Klopp’s men. Southampton fans weren’t happy with the style of play Claude Puel was offering last season as there wasn’t enough threat up front, and it seems like under Maurcio Pellegrino that it’s more of the same.
Everton must wish they could press the reset button and take them back to the start of the summer. Big money transfers on players such as Gylfi Sigurdsson have not worked so far and they are already onto their second manager of the season. Attempts to lure Marco Silva from Watford seem to have failed, meaning Caretaker David Unsworth may get the job on a full time basis.
Southampton have trouble scoring, while Everton concede a lot. It will be interesting to see which of these changes, but our tip is for a low scoring draw. 1-1 correct score looks like good value, with under 2.5 goals.
