After a poor start to 2020, Preston’s only defeat since mid-January was a 1-0 loss at home to Millwall last weekend. Alex Neil would have loved for his side to have collected all three points which would have resulted in them moving three places up the table into 3rd position. Instead, the Lilywhites occupy the last playoff position in 6th place but have Bristol City, Blackburn, Cardiff and others hot on their tail. A win on Saturday could see them move up into 3rd place but a loss could result in them dropping to 9th.

Hull are going through a horrid time at the moment having not won in the league since a 1-0 win on New Years Day against Sheffield Wednesday. Since that match, the Tigers have lost 6 and drawn two matches, picking up just 2 points in the process. The bad run of form has left Grant McCann’s side in 17th place in the league and although they are 10 points clear of the relegation zone, they will want to pick up more points in the 13 remaining games to make sure they don’t end up in the bottom three come the end of the season.
