Grimsby are currently 14th in League Two, 11 points adrift of Saturday’s opponents. After a poor end to 2019, Ian Holloway’s side have lost just 3 games from their last 14 and won 3 of their last 4 including a 4-2 victory against Newport last time out. Goals haven’t seemed to be a problem for the Mariners of late having found the net 10 times in their last 4 matches. Saturday’s match is a tough one to call. Northampton have suffered five defeats from their last six which will be a worry for Keith Curle as his side line up against a Grimsby side who have lost just once in their last seven. Grimsby haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 10 games and have seen both teams score in their last eight and so we expect the same to happen on Saturday which may be the best bet. We do have a feeling Grimsby may snatch this one and so a 2-1 home win is our prediction.
