Since Roy Hodgson took over The Eagles they have had an upturn in fortunes. Their unbeaten run now stretches to eight matches. It’s not all great news though, as a draw against bottom club Swansea City in their last game was not ideal, and if results go against them in the Boxing day games Palace could be in the bottom three at kick off.

For Arsenal, their defending has to be seriously questioned. Liverpool cut through them at will on Friday night and could have actually scored more than the three they did. Going forward though there seems to be no issues, scoring three themselves in less than five minutes.

Even though Arsenal do not have a great record at Selhurst Park, the tip is for The Gunners to edge a win in this one. They really need the three points, too.
