William Hill Updates Best Odds Guaranteed Promo

William Hill Updates Best Odds Guaranteed Promo

Leading UK bookie William Hill has this week made some slight changes to it’s Best Odds Guaranteed horse racing promotion. With effect from May 1st, this valuable concession for racing punters will only be available on the day of the race. Previously the Odds Guaranteed feature was available from when the race was priced up.

Best Odds Guaranteed is a great promotion for matched betting as it increases the odds taken on a selected horse to the starting price (SP) when the SP is bigger than the odds taken at the time the bet was placed.

Punters will be relieved that the William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed promotion is still available and this small change will not affect too many customers. As part of a revamp of its policy regarding Racing Refunds, Hill’s will now payout/refund if a horse refuses to race, or remains in the stalls after the off, as well as other occasions at the bookie’s discretion where they believe there has been an injustice.

Further good news for William Hill customers in that from the beginning of May they have started to offer Money Back promotion for horses that finished 2nd on two racing meetings per day for up to £10 per race.  Certainly a good offer and many will hope that continues!

Commenting on the changes William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said that the changes to the Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) promotion would “Allow us to invest in a number of other Offers and Racing Refunds.”

The changes follow on from a decision announced last week from Paddy Power who will now only allow punters to use their racing best odds guaranteed promotion from 8 am on the day of the race. Paddy’s have traditionally been one of the leading bookmakers offering top value regular betting offers and as competition continues to grow amongst both online and retail bookmakers they need to keep working hard to maintain their position.

Other bookmakers currently offering Best Odds Guaranteed include Bet365, Ladbrokes, Coral and Skybet all of whom currently offer this from when the odds are released following the 48 declaration stage.
