Virgin Bet launches in UK

Popular UK gaming software development company The Gamseys Group has launched Virgin Bet with sports betting supplier SBTech.

The new brand has been released as a mobile-only sportsbook which is available to customers using mobile web browsers and via the Virgin Bet App. Currently, the app is only available to Android users but the website states that an iOS version is on its way soon.

Simon Mizzi, Gamesys’ Gibraltar Marketing Director, said: “We’re excited to launch Virgin Bet into the world’s most competitive sportsbook market. We believe the Virgin brand has the ability to help change the industry for the better and we look forward to giving our customers the experience we feel they deserve.

Richard Carter, SBTech CEO, added: “This is a significant announcement and achievement for the business which strengthens our UK presence. Gamesys is likely to become one of our largest customers over time and we’re delighted to be working with their management team whom we have long admired.

“Gamesys has put its faith in us due to our proven track record of delivering world-class sportsbook and casino platform solutions. This is testament to our talented team, outstanding product portfolio and the exceptional results we are able to generate for our partners.

Gameseys is one of the biggest online gaming businesses. Founded in 2001 and partnering with the Virgin Group in 2013, the company initially added Virgin Games to their portfolio before agreeing on a long-term trademark licence to use the brand name for Virgin Bet – their first UK sportsbook.

Gamsesys chose SBTech to power the Virgin Bet sportsbook which is an award-winning platform used by multiple other betting sites.

UK customers can access the new sportsbook via visiting www.virginbet.com via a mobile device or downloading the Virgin Bet app via the Android app marketplace.

New customers can claim the Virgin Bet Free Bet Offer which credits customers with £20 in free bets when registering and placing their first bet of £10 or more at odds of 1/2 (1.5) or greater.
