Sports Events Worth Betting On in Q4 2019

The last three months of this year are packed full of huge sporting events from many sports but particularly for rugby, football and horse racing. The Rugby World Cup is well underway in Japan and the host nation have made a very impressive start which has helped increase the worldwide interest in the event. Japan’s victory over Ireland was perhaps one of the biggest upsets in World Cup Rugby history and who would bet against them reaching the Final on the 2nd November. Punters and rugby fans are in for a feast of action courtesy of live early morning coverage on ITV of every game including the Final. 

Football remains the most popular sport to bet on in the UK of course and as well as the Premier League the major European domestic Leagues are all keenly followed by fans in this country. Liverpool have started the Premier League with seven straight wins and whilst it does look a two-horse race between the Anfield club and north-west rivals Manchester City it should provide plenty of goals and entertainment in the next few months. Outside of the Premier League, it is the Champions League that gets the attention of most fans. Liverpool of course now attempting to retain the Trophy they won this summer but bookmakers think Man City are worthy favourites at this stage of the tournament. 

The autumn period sees the return of National Hunt racing in the UK and the main event is the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day. Overseas racing is very popular now and no more than the Breeders Cup and Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe. 

The Breeders Cup will be held at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington on November 6th-7th this year and this event features the most popular horse racing betting from the United States all year.  

The main feature race in October comes from Paris, France with the ever-popular Arc where Enable is already odds on for the big race on Sunday 6th October.
