Sky Bet Super 6 Tips & Predictions For 12/08/2017

The Premier League returns this weekend, as does another round of Sky Bet Super 6 predictions. Usually a £250k jackpot, the top prize has been enhanced to £1 Million, so the incentive for playing is clear. It’s completely free to play and gives you a risk-free shot of winning some serious cash. Check out the MatchedBets.com Super6 tips for some pointers on the upcoming round.

Chelsea v Burnley

The champions take on the Clarets, who suffered from a season-long bout of travel sickness in 2016/17. Burnley took just seven points on the road last term and come up against the team with the best record in opening day fixtures since 2007. The Blues have won 9 of their 11 fixtures since then and will be looking to get their title defence off to a perfect start. Even with Eden Hazard out injured, it’s difficult to see the hosts coming up short and a routine win is predicted.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Burnley

Everton v Stoke

There’s a real buzz around Everton at the moment and plenty of new faces. The Toffees should also be match ready after playing in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League. Meanwhile, Stoke have had little to get excited about in the transfer window and got off to a famously terrible start last season. There have been Under 2.5 goals in 14 of the last 17 meetings between these sides, so a narrow Everton win is the pick.

Prediction: Everton 1-0 Stoke

West Brom v Bournemouth

The Baggies laboured towards the end of last season and minimal activity in the transfer window suggests that it could be a long season ahead. Conversely, Bournemouth have recruited brilliantly and will showcase a trio of new signings in Jermain Defoe, Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic. West Brom have lost their last four home games by a margin of 1 goal and that could be the case here.

Prediction: West Brom 0-1 Bournemouth

Crystal Palace v Huddersfield

The Eagles will be positive with new manager Frank de Boer at the helm but the squad he’s inherited hasn’t improved greatly from the one that struggled for much of last season. More new faces are expected but not before kick-off in this match. Huddersfield were promoted via the Play-Off Final and will be looking to make their mark in the top-flight. It’s not unusual for a promoted side to raise their game on the opening day of the season and I can see the visitors giving this a good go.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-2 Huddersfield

Southampton v Swansea

The Virgil van Dijk transfer saga has dominated summer preparations for Saints who have a new manager in Mauricio Pellegrino. He’ll be looking to make a good start but has inherited a side that was low on confidence at the end of the previous campaign. Swansea also have a want away player in Gylfi Sigurdsson but have looked good in pre-season. Recent fixtures have been close and it could be tough to separate these sides on Saturday.

Prediction: Southampton 1-1 Swansea

Leeds v Preston North End

Leeds got their Championship campaign underway with a thrilling 2-3 win away to Bolton last week and followed up with another high-scoring game when beating Port Vale 4-1 in the League Cup through the week. Meanwhile, Preston edged Sheffield Wednesday but were then knocked out of the cup by Accrington Stanley. There could be a few goals in this one and Leeds are the tip to come out on top.

Prediction: Leeds 2-1 Preston
