Sky Bet Super 6 Tips & Predictions For 01-09-2017

Sky Bet Super 6 heads in to round 6 of the 2017/18 football season this weekend, and the opportunity to win £1Million is still well and truly there.

What is Sky Bet Super 6?

Super 6 is a free to play game in which you are asked to guess six correct scores in six different matches. If you get all 6 spot on, you will win the whole or a share of the jackpot. When the Premier League is on, they usually include at least four Premier League games with one or two Championship games thrown in. This weekend though, due to international football the selected matches are all from League One. All you need to play is a Sky Bet log in, and you do not need any funds in your account at all to take part.

It is usually the case that all six matches kick off at the same time, in order to ensure that they game is fair. Entries can be made right up until a minute before kick off, which this week is 3:00pm on Saturday 2 September. If you leave your entry until less than an hour before the start, you can get a better grasp of how the game is going to go as the teams will have already been announced.

Risk-Free Shot at Glory

This offer is particularly attractive to us matched bettors as we do not need to spend any money to qualify. Each week we have a risk free chance of winning a huge jackpot, so we can add this to the guaranteed profit offers that we are completing each week. The game is also fun to play, whether you are a big football fan and just want to test your knowledge, or just want to have a completely random guess, it is easy to do.

Positives of playing Sky Bet Super 6

  • Completely free to play
  • Only takes a couple of minutes at most
  • Fun to test your football knowledge
  • You could potentially win the huge jackpot
  • Chance to complete matched betting offers while on Sky Bet

Since the start of the 2017/18 season, the jackpot has been a massive £1Million, and this will stay as the jackpot until someone guesses the six correct scores in all six games. It is then expected that the jackpot will return to the normal £250,000, which is still huge for a free to play game.

With League One the focus this week, lets take a look at the six fixtures.

Blackpool v AFC Wimbledon

Since their promotion to League One via the play-offs, Blackpool have started quite well at the higher level. The off field issues will continue to disrupt the club, but on the pitch it seems as if the resurgence is very much on. Sitting in 8th place at the moment with seven points from four games, they seem to be very tough to beat. The home record is also a big positive for the Tangerines so far, with two wins from two in the league.

AFC Wimbledon on the other hand have found it much harder at the start of this season. Currently in 16th place with only one league win, they will be looking for a confidence boosting victory here. They have one point from two away games, which was a hard fought draw against Scunthorpe United. That being said, they are coming off the back of a great win at home to Doncaster Rovers last week and will be looking to continue that here.

Key stats to consider, courtesy of WhoScored.com

  • In AFC Wimbledon’s last 10 games in League One, there have been under 2.5 goals on 9 occasions
  • The Dons have also failed to score in 5 of their last 6 matches in League One
  • Blackpool have not failed to score in any of their last 6 home matches

Overall, Wimbledon’s poor away record is too much to overlook here, so expect Blackpool to claim a narrow win.

Prediction: Blackpool 1-0 AFC Wimbledon

Bury v Scunthorpe United

The home side will be looking for a big improvement, as their season has not gone to plan at all so far. Their solitary win against Walsall already seems a long time ago, and even a competitive performance in defeat to Sunderland in the Carabao Cup has not lifted their spirits. Fresh off a 0-0 draw with Rochdale, they will need to be much better this week.

Scunthorpe on the other hand will be happy with their season so far. The pain of missing out in the play-offs last season seems to have turned into a determination to go one better this time out, and with two wins and two draws from their first four games they obviously mean business. They stuffed Plymouth 4-0 on the road last week, and will be hoping for something similar here.

Key stats to consider, courtesy of WhoScored.com

  • There have been over 2.5 goals in each of the last 8 meetings between the two sides
  • Scunthorpe have avoided defeat in 10 of their last 11 games in League One
  • Scunthorpe have won their last 4 meetings with Bury in all competitions

The stats don’t lie, and they all heavily favour a Scunthorpe win. They look lethal in front of goal, so this could get messy for Bury.

Prediction: Bury 1-3 Scunthorpe United

Doncaster Rovers v Peterborough United

Rovers are back at this level after promotion from League Two last time out, and they have started steadily. One win, two draws and a defeat leaves them firmly in mid-table, which they won’t be too upset about at this early stage. The bad news is, you’re only as good as your last league game and that was a defeat away to AFC Wimbledon. They will hope to fare a lot better back in front of their own fans at the Keepmoat.

It is a completely different story for Peterborough, as they have a perfect league record so far. Top of the league with four wins from four, they have looked almost unstoppable in League One. Scoring 12 and conceding 4, they really do look like a force to be reckoned with. Beating Northampton Town 1-4 last week will have them full of confidence, and there is no reason they can’t continue the good form.

Key stats to consider, courtesy of WhoScored.com

  • There have been over 2.5 goals in each of Peterborough’s last 6 games in League One
  • Peterborough have won their last 3 meetings with Doncaster
  • The Posh have scored at least 2 goals in each of their last 4 matches

Peterborough should definitely get on the scoresheet, probably more than once, but I think Doncaster will give them a good game. Against certain stats, I actually expect Peterborough’s 100% record to come to an end here.

Prediction: Doncaster Rovers 2-2 Peterborough United

Gillingham v Shrewsbury Town

Gillingham have not started the season well at all, and they are yet to win in League competition. They only have two points on the board, and it is tough to expect them to get a win here on this kind of form. They may be boosted by a win in the Checkatrade Trophy, but it will still be tough going.

The reason the Gills may struggle is due to the excellent form of Shrewsbury. They sit 3rd in the table, having won three and drawn one of their first four games. The one draw came against Oxford last week, but they will still be expecting to go to Gillingham and take the three points.

Key stats to consider, courtesy of WhoScored.com

  • There have been under 2.5 goals in 8 of Shrewsbury’s last 9 League One games
  • There have also been under 2.5 goals in 5 of Gillingham’s last 6 matches against the Shrews
  • The Gills are on a 7 match streak without a win in League One

Everything points to a Shrewsbury win here, and there is probably not going to be too many goals.

Prediction: Gillingham 0-2 Shrewsbury Town

Milton Keynes Dons v Oxford United

Though they do have one league win so far, MK Dons are still down in 20th place in League One and will be looking to pick up a much needed win here. Last weekend’s game was a disaster for them, falling 4-1 away to Blackburn. They did get a win against Brighton’s youngsters in cup action through the week, but they will not have it easy on Saturday.

Oxford are up in 7th, and are playing some very good stuff. They lost Michael Appleton in the summer, but Pep Clotet has stepped in to some success so far. If they are able to get their foot on the ball here, then MK Dons will be in big trouble.

Key stats to consider, courtesy of WhoScored.com

  • There have been under 2.5 goals in 5 of Oxford’s last 6 away games in League One

MK Dons are actually the favourites with the bookies, but I think a draw looks smart here.

Prediction: MK Dons 1-1 Oxford United

Oldham Athletic v Charlton Athletic

The Latics have had a complete nightmare so far and are only kept off rock bottom on goal difference. They’ve lost all four league matches, and have even lost all of their cup games too. They fell away at Blackpool last time out, and it looks likely they will lose again here.

Charlton are going well, and as one of the bigger clubs in League One they will expect this to continue. An excellent win away at Rotherham was followed up with a Checkatrade Trophy win at Crawley and all signs point to more success this week.

Key stats to consider, courtesy of WhoScored.com

  • Oldham have had under 2.5 goals in their last 8 matches against Charlton in all competitions
  • Charlton have won 6 of their last 7 matches in League One
  • Oldham have conceded at least 2 goals in their last matches in League One

You simply have to go with a Charlton win here, and it should be pretty comfortable for them.

Prediction: Oldham Athletic 0-2 Charlton Athletic
