Paddy Power Has Twitter Account Suspended

On Monday 14th August the Paddy Power Twitter account was suspended. Followers of the handle @PaddyPower looking for the usual banter and bets by the comedic bookie were met with a short message which read ‘Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter Rules’.

It remains unknown why the account was blocked but the social media site has numerous guidelines, which can result in suspension if contravened. The Twitter help centre states that accounts may be suspended if platform rules are violated. This includes spamming, abusive behaviour and if accounts are suspected to be hacked.

Paddy Power has the biggest Twitter following of any bookmaker. At over 630,000 followers, it almost doubles the 360,000 of it’s nearest rival bet365. With social media a powerful platform for marketing and customer engagement, the firm will have been delighted to be back online by Tuesday morning.

Not that you’d know it, as the following nonchalant Tweet was posted in typical Paddy Power fashion;

Paddy Power Bet Offers

Paddy Power has a signup offer that can be used to make money online and countless reloads too. The bookmaker has recently reinstated it’s acca insurance offer and the ever popular ‘2 Up’ promotion.
