Loyalty Points – Do you have unclaimed cash?

As matched bettors, the majority of us make multiple bets per day. These may be sports bets, casino wagers or claiming the occasional bingo offer. Most of our profit comes from free bets and promotions offered by bookmakers and casinos but there is another source of income which is often overlooked – Loyalty Points!

What are Loyalty Points?

Loyalty points are points given by online bookies and casinos to reward players for betting with them. A number of points are awarded for each pound staked and these points can then be converted into cash or prizes once a certain number have been accumulated.

Loyalty points are not overly advertised by bookmakers and casinos and so many players are unaware they are even accumulating them when betting. If you haven’t checked your loyalty points balance in your betting accounts recently, you may be pleasantly surprised at how many you have accumulated which can be converted into real withdrawable cash.

How much are Loyalty Points worth?

Each bookmaker or casino will have a different points system for loyalty points. Generally, it’s not worth playing casino games or placing sports bets just to accumulate loyalty points as the amount you have to wager is large for a relatively small reward. However, as we have another reason to bet with matched betting, you can simply continue to use your bookmaker and casino accounts as normal and your loyalty points will accumulate in the background.

Let’s take Bet365 Casino for example, they reward customers with between 1 and 3 loyalty points, or ‘Comp Points’ as they call them, for every £10 staked depending on what game you play. Then, when you have accumulated 100 Comp Points, you can exchange them for £1 cash. This means that you have to stake between £300 and £1,000 to receive a £1 cash bonus. Doesn’t sound too attractive does it? However, you may participate in 2-3 Bet365 offers each week which may require significant wagering.  As you wager, you will collect Comp Points and you’d be surprised how quickly you can get through £1,000 worth of wagering. Over the course of a month or year, you may find that you have several thousand Comp Points which can then be converted into a worthwhile cash bonus!

Bet365 is just one example and the majority of casinos offer similar Loyalty Points schemes which means you could be collecting a number of points each day during your matched betting routines.

Check your accounts

If you haven’t already, it’s worth making a list of all of the bookmakers and casinos which you have signed up to or at least the ones you use the most on a regular basis. Set a reminder to check your most active accounts every 2-3 months as, depending on how often you use them and how much you wager, you could be accumulating enough points to exchange them for a cash reward. If you have never checked your loyalty points balances, and I know there will be many who haven’t! Make the effort to do so next time you log in. You may be pleasantly surprised!

VIP Levels – Earn Points Faster

Many bookmakers and casinos offer VIP statuses for players who play regularly and wager a lot of money. VIP status generally comes with a number of benefits with one often being the ability to generate loyalty points faster. So, instead of receiving 1 loyalty point for every £10 staked, you may receive 1 point for every £50 staked.

If you do have a VIP status at a bookmaker or casino and haven’t checked your loyalty points tally lately, it’s worth doing as it’s likely you will have generated a good amount which can be exchanged for cash.
