Jenningsbet Switches To FSB Tech Platform

UK independent bookie Jenningsbet has this week moved its online presence to a new FSB Tech powered betting and gaming platform. The sportsbook will be powered by FSB’s pricing models and feature in play betting and JenningsBet will benefit from CRM tools for player segmentation and bonusing.

To coincide with the platform switch Jenningsbet this week upgraded their Sportsbook Welcome Offer and have started to offer money-back offers on UK horse racing such as “Money Back up to £20 if your horse finishes 2nd beaten half a length”.

The Jenningsbet Group also operate over 100 betting shops in the UK predominantly in the south-east of England. The retail operation is facing a major challenge this year as the long-awaited cut in maximum Fixed Odds Betting Terminal (FOBT) stakes is introduced in April 2019 and will have a huge negative impact on shop profitability.

Jenningsbet MD Greg Knight commented: “While we were keen to make this digital upgrade, finding the right partner who could join up our customers’ diverse needs across all channels was crucial,” he said. “With this state-of-the-art sportsbook, we aim to capitalise on the ramping demand for a mobile-first solution.”

The Group traded strongly in their last financial year to April 29th 2018 with Operating Profit rising to £2.1M on a Turnover of £40.1M .

As well as the reduction in Income from FOBT machines for their retail estate from April 2019 onwards Jenningsbet and other online bookmakers also have to cope with an increase in remote betting duty from 15 to 21 %.

It is anticipated that as many as 4000 betting shops across the UK could close in the coming years as a result of the FOBT changes.
