The race to the $4,000,000 Longines Turf is one of the segments to anticipate at the 2020 Breeders’ Cup Challenge. Some of his notable placements this year include Mac Diarmida Stakes (4th), Manhattan Stakes (4th), Bowling Green Stakes (3rd), and Muniz Memorial Classic Stakes (8th). 

Donjah 

An Irish native is taking his chance to the Breeders’ Cup Turf this year. Donjah is an entry by Darius Racing, which is trained by Henk Grewe. He recently won the Preis von Europa held last August 15, 2020, at Koln, Germany. Not only that, but Donjah has other achievements, which include Grosser Preis von Baden (4th), Grosser Hansa-Preis (4th), and Grosser Preis von Bayern (5th). 

Lord North 

Lord North is another Irish racehorse that will vie for the 2020 Breeders’ Cup Turf. He is an entry by Godolphin, LLC Lessee, and is trained by John Gosden. He recently won two titles this year, including Brigadier Gerard Stakes and Prince of Wales’s Stakes. He was also placed in two other races: the Juddmonte International Stakes (3rd) and Champion Stakes (10th).

Tarnawa 

Tarnawa takes pride as she joins the roster of European contingents joining the Breeders’ Cup Turf this November. She accomplished three titles this year, including the  Give Thanks Stakes, Qatar Prix Vermeille, and Prix de l’Opera Longines. Last year, Tarnawa was also a big winner at the British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes (9th), Moyglare Jewels Blandford Stakes (1st), and Investec Oaks (11th). 

Magical 

Magical, an Irish Champion Stakes winner, will take his chance at the Breeders’ Cup Turf. He is one of the entries for the said category that had made several titles earlier this year. Some of these notable wins include Champion Stakes (3rd), Juddmonte International Stakes (2nd), Tattersalls Gold Cup (1st), and  Alwasmiyah Pretty Polly Stakes (1st). 

Mean Mary 

H. Graham Motion will take his chance at the Breeders’ Cup Turf by sending Mean Mary. This filly had only made eight racing finishes since birth, and three of them were titles. It includes the La Prevoyante Stakes,  Orchid Stakes, and New York Stakes. Last August 23, he recently participated in the Diana Stakes and landed in second place. 

Mehdaayih 

Accomplishing 6th place at the Prince of Wales’s Stakes and 4th place at the British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes, Mehdaayih takes a berth to the Breeders’ Cup Turf.  Last year, she earned titles at the Prix de Malleret and Arkle Finance Cheshire Oaks. Her other achievements include Champion Stakes (5th), Prix de l’Opera (10th), and Qatar Nassau Stakes (2nd). 

Mogul 

Mogul recently clinched the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris title and will take a chance at the Breeders’ Cup Turf. From winning the 6th place at  Investec  Derby last July, Mogul attempted in many British horse races. Some of his placements include John Pearce Gordon Stakes (1st) and Sky Bet Great Voltigeur Stakes (3rd). 

Red King 

Red King, a recently concluded San Juan Capistrano Stakes and Del Mar Handicap titleholder, is joining the Breeders’ Cup Turf entrants. He is an entry of the Calumet Farm and is trained by Phillip D’Amato. 

United 

Completing this year’s Breeders’ Cup Turf entries is United. He is trained by Richard Mandella and recently won the John Henry Turf Championship Stakes.  Apart from that, he also earned significant placements in some races like Del Mar Handicap (2nd), Eddie Read Stakes (1st), Charles Whittingham Stakes (1st), and San Marcos Stakes (1st).
