Get amazing enhanced odds 33/1 Anthony Joshua to beat Carlos Takam on Sport Nation
It’s all eyes on the Principality Stadium in Cardiff this Saturday night, as British World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua defends his titles against French challenger Carlos Takam. The challenger is a late replacement for mandatory fighter Kubrat Pulev who had to pull out through injury.
This will be AJ’s first title defence since becoming unified champion by beating Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley back in April. Joshua and Klitschko served up a real thriller that night and AJ added the WBA (Super) and IBO heavyweight titles to his IBF belt with victory. He knocked Klitschko to the canvas multiple times and the fight was eventually stopped on 11 rounds, with the Ukrainian on the ropes and no longer able to defend himself.
As the standby challenger it’s obvious that Carlos Takam is a good fighter. Anthony Joshua has even suggested that he represents a tougher challenge than Pulev but the general consensus is that this fight is AJ’s to lose. And that’s something that bookies clearly agree with, given the slender odds on offer about a Joshua win.
