The BetSid 2nd to SP Favourite offer gives customers multiple chances a day to claim free bets on selected horse races. Place a bet on an eligible horse race which is listed on the BetSid promotional page and if your horse finishes second to the starting price favourite, BetSid will refund your stake up to a maximum of £10.
Each morning, BetSid will announce a nominated meeting for which the 2nd to Starting Price Favourite offer will be valid on. You can only qualify for one free bet per race but there may be several races at the nominated meeting throughout the day.
This is a pretty simple offer to claim although there are some terms and conditions worth noting. Only bets placed on races at the nominated meeting will qualify for the offer. Eligible meetings are announced on the BetSid promotions page each morning. There is a max refund of £10 per race should your horse finish second to the starting price favourite. You may place higher stakes but should you qualify for a free bet, a maximum of £10 will be credited as a free bet. In the case of an eligible race starting with joint favourites, the lowest race card number will be deemed to be the favourite. If you place more than one bet on an eligible race, the offer will apply to your first bet. Each eligible race must have a minimum of 7 runners for the offer to apply and applies to win singles and the win part of each way singles.
Should your horse finish 2nd to the SP favourite, BetSid will credit your account with a free bet to the value of your stake (max £10) and you free bet must be used by midnight of the day it is awarded after which it will expire. You can use your free bet on any sports market so long as the odds do not exceed 25/1 (26.0).
It is not possible to return a profit from this offer every time using matched betting. However, you may consider this offer advantage play and you can make a profit on average over time. To increase your chances of profiting from this offer, select a race where there is a heavy favourite and back and lay a close match from the remainder of the field. This way, the favourite has a good chance of winning and you can hope that your horse will finish 2nd behind it. By backing and laying a horse for a small qualifying loss, you should be able to return an overall profit by matched betting your free bet.
